You can use different cleaning methods as per your requirements.
You can use a medium or soft scrub brush to take off the hair and dust. And finally, use a wiping cloth to wipe off the entire mattress.
2. Baking soda
Using baking soda is one of the cheapest methods to clean the mattress and also it can absorb the smell from the mattress.
The best part of using baking soda is it available at nearby grocery stores.
Take a baking soda and spread a layer of baking soda on the entire mattress. Wait for 2-3 days for settling the soda on the mattress.
Baking soda easily soaks moisture and bad smells.
After the soda soaks the moisture and smells then clean the remaining soda from the mattress.
3. Using Essential Oils
Essential oil and baking soda are the killer combination and it removes the bad smell from the mattress.

Lemon is very effective to remove the smell from your mattress. Using lemon for removing the smell is an age-old practice that has been around for a decade.
This is a very effective method. You have to take a lemon and cut it into two pieces.
After cutting the pieces rub them on the affected area of the mattress. And you can apply it all over the mattress on both sides of the cover of the mattress as per your requirement.
It removes the dirty smell and the vinegar smell from the mattress.
If you don’t want to rub the lemon pieces on the cover of the mattress then you can the lemon juice.
Take some amount of lemon juice and a soft cloth or cotton ball. And using a soft cloth or cotton ball you can apply the lemon juice to the affected area of the mattress cover.
Vinegar is acidic so you can remove the vinegar using soap.
Also, you can use dishwashing liquid and water. Just you have to mix the two mixtures in a ratio of 3:1.
After mixing the mixtures you have to apply it on the cover of the mattress or the affected area of the mattress to get rid of the smell of vinegar.
How Long Does It Take For The Smell Of Vinegar To Go Away?

But for that, you have to wait for at least 2 hours or a day. but in case your mattress is really dirty then you have to wait for at least 1 to 2 days.
There is no method to remove the vinegar solution from the mattress in a few minutes. You must have to wait at least two hours for the process to remove the smell from the mattress.

- Put the sheets or bed sheets on your mattress. If you have no time to clean the mattress then you can change the bed sheets every day.
- Do not drink and eat on the mattress because it can cause moisture to accumulate on the mattress.
